The Südsauerlandmuseum is an extracurricular learning place that seeks cooperation with schools, adult education centres, universities and other educational institutions.
The museum is supported by Attendorns Association for Local History (Verein für Orts- und Heimatkunde) and the Südsauerlandmuseums Sponsoring Society (Förderkreis).
