Attendorn’s old town hall, built in the mid-fourteenth century, is located in the centre of the old Hanseatic Town of Attendorn and looks back on a long and varied history. Today, the historic building is home to the Südsauerlandmuseum – the Southern Sauerland Museum of Art and Cultural History of the District of Olpe. Teachers, museum experts and business owners appreciate the Südsauerlandmuseum as a place of excellence for extracurricular studies.

an artserial exhibition by Marlies Backhaus
Marlies Backhaus is showing a selection of works from the last 30 years in her solo exhibition.
After working as an art teacher at the St. Ursula-Gymnasium in Attendorn for almost 40 years, she began exhibiting at the age of 50. Since then she has participated in around 150 regional, national and international exhibitions and art projects. She was in charge almost 40 times and designed around 20 catalogs.
